Ben Peterson is a veteran, husband, father and founder of Engage Your Destiny: a non profit to active military members and their families. 
Ben served in combat in Iraq during the Surge in 2008-2009 as a Chaplain's Assistant, the bodyguard and ministry assistant to the Chaplain. 

Upon returning home Ben launched a successful sales career in Marketing Sales landing clients like Polaris, St. Jude Medical, Sleep Number, Minnesota Vikings, & Medtronic. 

In 2016 Ben Founded Engage Your Destiny. Since founding the ministry Ben has spoken to over 300,000 service members, veterans and families. He has conducted emotional intelligence and spiritual readiness trainings with the 101st Airborne, 3rd Special Forces Group, 75th Ranger Battalion, Space Force, and Recon Marines. 

In 2022 Ben Launched the Heroes Honor Festival, a welcome home tribute to Vietnam Veterans hosting Toby Keith, Ron Desantis, Oliver North and in partnership with Toyota, American Legion, Harley Davidson, Humana, NASCAR & Fox Nation with over 35,000 attendees. 1200 veterans were placed into healing programs as a result of the event. Engage Your Destiny is now operating full time on 10 bases.

Martin Scales is a former U.S. Army Special Forces Soldier with over ten years of service, including six years assigned to 7th Special Forces Group as an 18C (Special Forces Engineer Sergeant). During his military career, he deployed multiple times throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central and South America, supporting a range of mission sets and operational environments.

Following his transition from active duty in June, Martin joined EYD, where he currently serves as the EYD Operator supporting 7th Special Forces Group and Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. In this role, he continues to leverage his extensive operational experience and technical expertise to support mission readiness and capability development.

Martin is married to his wife, Rachel, and together they have four children.

Brady is a Florida native, former Navy SEAL, as well as a pastor and speaker with a passion for helping others grow in clarity, character, and conviction.

Brady brings over two decades of leadership and instructional experience to churches, men’s groups, executive teams, retreats, and conferences. In his time as a SEAL, he’s led teams in high-pressure environments and was repeatedly recognized for excellence in leadership and instruction. He then served as a Special Operations instructor for the SEAL Teams and has brought his experience to local, state and federal agencies providing leadership development and training for organizations nationwide.

In addition to his professional background, Brady has served in pastoral ministry for several years and currently serves as Director of Outreach for Engage Your Destiny in San Diego, where he helps equip and mobilize leaders through emotional intelligence training, faith-based teaching, discipleship, and transformational experiences.

A gifted teacher with a passion for coaching, Brady is deeply committed to helping others succeed and become the best version of who God created them to be. He is a loving husband and the proud father of six children.

Scott Campbell is a former U.S. Army Green Beret who spent eight years in Special Forces as an 18B Weapons Sergeant, including four years with the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He served on Special Forces Dive and Ruck Teams, qualified as a Special Forces Sniper, and trained U.S. and allied forces in marksmanship, tactics, reconnaissance, and combat leadership.

Today, Scott brings that same intensity and leadership to Engage Your Destiny at Fort Carson, where he invests in soldiers through mentorship, resilience training, Bible studies, leadership events, and discipleship. His mission is to help service members grow stronger in their faith, discover purpose, and lead with conviction.

A former firefighter and certified sports performance coach, Scott is also the founder of Kairos Retreats and Kairos Mountain Ranch. Whether he’s in the mountains, mentoring soldiers, or developing leaders, Scott is passionate about building men and women of courage, character, and faith who are ready for whatever mission comes next.

Craig Penley currently serves as the Director of Military Outreach for Engage Your Destiny at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, where he co-leads efforts to reach soldiers with the hope of the Gospel and helps launch new ministry branches across U.S. military installations.

Before stepping into full-time ministry, Craig had a distinguished military career, having served as a Special Forces officer in 10th Special Forces Group. He began his service as an enlisted artilleryman in the North Carolina National Guard before commissioning as an Infantry Officer with the 82nd Airborne Division. His deployments include two combat tours to Afghanistan and one noncombat deployment to Ukraine. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University and has completed elite military training including Ranger School, Free Fall, Pathfinder, Air Assault, and Airborne. He is Russian language qualified and a two-time Bronze Star recipient.

Beyond ministry, Craig is an entrepreneur with experience as a CEO and small business owner. He is also an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoor enthusiast. He is married to Captain Laura Penley, an active-duty medical evacuation helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army.

Craig brings a rare blend of battlefield experience, business leadership, and spiritual conviction to the mission of transforming lives—and we’re honored to have him with us this weekend.
