This was my story. One night it was too much, I grabbed my gun and was on the edge.
I called my mentor and that started my journey of using faith to fight my hidden battles. I discovered the childhood trauma that I had brought into the military was at the root of nearly all of my symptoms.
There are thousands of stories just like mine in our active duty military. With military suicide on the rise, our solution is simple - prevention.
As the research proves, faith moves the needle. It heals hearts, restores families and renews minds. Faith is the secret weapon to fortify our hopes, homes and home fronts. Now it’s my great honor to share that with others.
God Bless,
A letter from our CEO:
we've got answers for you!
Spiritual readiness is the bedrock of our mission, arming individuals with the inner strength, resilience, and faith to overcome adversity. It is the capacity to draw from spiritual beliefs and values to navigate the internal and external struggles faced by military personnel. This readiness plays a crucial role in reducing the risk of suicide, substance abuse, and mental health issues among our heroes.
We employ a comprehensive approach to spiritual readiness through on-base training, in person and digital community engagement, and trauma-informed spiritual formation. Our focus is on equipping the whole person, enabling them to use faith and spiritual strength to conquer the hidden battles of the mind and heart. Research now proves that those with an active faith life are at least 7 times less likely to commit suicide.
Your gift activates on-base trainings, in person and digital community engagement, and trauma-informed, faith based resources for our active-duty military members. It goes to the staffing and stewarding of our soldiers, as well as providing food, childcare and spiritual growth materials so that soldiers can engage their faith with their whole family.
Monthly gifts ensure we can plan for additional resources so that we can consistently care for our active-duty military members. By having the ability to plan ahead, we can save more lives by growing our Military Outreach team, growing our training in evidence based Spiritual Readiness training, and investing in the technology needed to engage our active duty military no matter where they are in the world.
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which means without gifts both big and small, we would not be able to engage, equip and empower our military in the fight against suicide. Every gift goes directly towards reaching as many soldiers as possible and stewarding those already in our care.
